Customs Clearance Executive
My client, a global freight forwarder based in East Cork is currently looking for an Custom Clearance Executive with experience across exports. Their growth is accelerating around the world.

Responsibilities
- Support customers with your knowledge of customs procedures in the UK and Ireland.
- Support customers with error rectification for customs clearances
- Liaising with customer on all aspects of the customs clearance process to include entry, duty calculation, duty and fee payment, custom query resolution and final clearance confirmation
- Updating OPS / Sailing Schedules.
- Booking confirmations to customers.
- Submitting VGM for shipments.
- Custom duty calculations
- Creating and discharging T1 documents
- Submitting shipping instructions/ Sending details to shipping lines.
- Monitoring and tracking shipments / Preparing SAD document (customs clearance).
- Requesting telex release, Seaway Bill of lading, approving and requesting original bills of ladings.
- Submitting VGM for shipments.
- Maintaining an excellent repour with Customers, Hauliers and shipping lines.
- Full training will be provided on Imports/ Exports
We are looking for someone who has / is…
- 3 + years’ experience in Shipping and Logistics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Word / Power Point.
- Custom Clearance Experience
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the continued growth of the Company.
- Able to communicate effectively (in both written and verbal form).
- Enjoys interacting and building relationships with customers and is comfortable working in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to co – ordinate plan schedules.
- Attention to detail in completing tasks in a proficient and timely manner.
